E-commerce solutions for businesses affected by COVID-19

 

“OGTRANSA”, a private limited liability company operating in Lithuania for more than a decade, has gradually shifted its focus to the Western European market, and nowadays the company's main activity is providing international transportation and logistics solutions in Western Europe. The company is implementing the project Implementation of e-commerce solutions in UAB “OGTRANSA” under the measure “E-commerce model COVID-19”.

It is planned to develop an e-self-service system for B2B customers to create, manage and pay for orders, during the implementation of this project. Implementing such a solution will help the company grow and become more competitive.

The total cost of the project is €66,360, of which €49,770 is from the European regional development fund. Funded as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company will contribute the remainder of the funding from its own resources.

 

The company has an electronic business management system

 

On 31 March 2021, UAB “OGTRANSA” has completed the implementation of the project named “Optimisation of performance management tools and improvement of operational efficiency of UAB “OGTRANSA”, which was partly financed by the European Union Regional development fund under the “E-business” measure. Under the financing agreement, the company had to invest up to €5,209.97 of its own funds (excluding VAT) in the implementation of the project, for a total amount of €7,814.95. The total value of the 11-month project under the agreement with the Lithuanian business support agency is €13,024.92.

During the implementation of the project, UAB “OGTRANSA” has adopted and implemented an advanced information technology Logistics accounting and management automation system, which allows to manage the company's activities more effectively. The company has implemented an e-business system that integrates transport management processes, which significantly optimises operational tools, improves productivity and makes the company's core business more efficient, increasing the volume of business and its competitiveness compared to other companies. The system will enable the company to successfully pursue and develop its international relations.

The introduction of new E-business solutions is expected to be an important driver of international cooperation by improving and expanding operational opportunities in the transport sector.
